Tumbled Bluestone Natural Stone Steps
Tumbled Bluestone natural stone steps take the beauty of bluestone steps and soften the look and feel by tumbling the edges. This process smoothes the edges and takes away any sharp angles. The look is weathered, natural and aged - instantly creating a classic character wherever they are used. The tumbling process is not easy with pieces of stone this big, but we have sourced a great supply of these beautiful tumbled bluestone steps and have a nice inventory in stock. If you are looking for a classic, aged bluestone step look with soft irregular edges - consider tumbled bluestone steps from Wicki Stone.
Tumbled Bluestone Natural Stone Steps Description and Details
Full Stone Name
Tumbled Bluestone Natural Stone Steps
Stone Description
Natural bluestone steps with irregular edges are tumbled with grit to soften the edges. The stone has a historical, aged look that takes centuries to create in the field.
Stone Color
Silvery Blue - accent colors may be present. This stone more closely resembles the full color bluestone that we carry verses the select blue color because there are often earth tone accents present.
Stone Finish
The edges are first snapped in guillotine to create a natural looking edge and then the steps are tumbled with large grit to soften, smooth and at times round off the edges.
Stone Coverage
Most steps have roughly 6" riser heights. Length and width are highly variable and depend on the set. It is not uncommon for each step in a set to be 3-4 feet wide, 2 - 3 feet deep, and 6 to 8" tall, but that can vary widely. We have some sets that are much longer, and certain sets can have significantly smaller lengths and widths.
How It Is Sold
By the square foot. Sets cannot be broken up and mixed and matched.
